Visa has announced plans to move its European headquarters from Paddington to Canary Wharf – a decision that highlights the district’s continued transformation into one of London’s most dynamic and desirable places to live and work.

The company will take 300,000 square feet at One Canada Square on a 15-year lease, with the move expected in summer 2028. The new workspace will support Visa’s growing European operations while placing the business at the heart of a thriving, well-connected neighbourhood.

Canary Wharf has evolved far beyond its reputation as a financial centre. With new residential developments, green spaces, waterside walkways, restaurants and cultural events, the area has become an attractive home for professionals and families alike. Its excellent transport links, including the Elizabeth line and Jubilee line, provide quick and easy access across London.

Visa’s arrival adds to the growing number of global firms choosing Canary Wharf, reinforcing its position as a vibrant district that continues to expand, innovate and offer an exceptional quality of life.
