Jannik Sinner was crowned the 2026 Wimbledon men’s singles champion after defeating Alexander Zverev in an exciting final on Centre Court.

The Italian recovered after losing the opening set to secure a 6-7(7), 7-6(2), 6-3, 6-4 victory on 12th July.

The victory saw Sinner successfully defend the Wimbledon title he won in 2025. It also made him only the 10th man to successfully defend the Wimbledon men’s singles crown.

Sinner showed impressive composure after Zverev edged a tense first-set tiebreak. Sinner responded by taking the second-set tiebreak before gaining control of the match in the third and fourth sets.

The triumph gave Sinner his second Wimbledon championship and fifth Grand Slam singles title. His latest victory at SW19 further strengthened his place among the leading figures in men’s tennis.
